This is the entertainment program for the weekend.  Its all free and comes with the pitch booking except for the Saurday night for which you have to pay a bit extra.  We always book it all at the same time.

So it's  Thursday 10th of August and we are getting ready to leave and head up to Shepton.  This is the last rally of the year and the first music show will be tonight and the last on Sunday night.  The weather is not looking good and it keeps trying to rain.  Whatever happens I am sure we will have a good time.

So the first band was a tribute to the union gap which did include some original members.  They did a number of songs from other groups of the 70's.  They were very good and of course we knew the words to most of them.  They finished of course with the song 'Young girl'.

The next group is called The Rolling Clones.  This is a tough act to do so we shall see how they do. We did not stay until the end, they were quite good but the lead singer did not really hit the mark.  Mick Jagger is a tough act to copy.

Friday 11th September 2026

So this is the real first day with everything open.  We got up about 10 and after a leisuely breakfast we went out to have a look around the stalls before making our way down to the Marquee.  The lunchtime group were a father and son.  The father had been in the Specials and then Herman,s Hermits.  They were very good and seemed able to play any song from the 80,s.

Today has been a really nice, it's been warm and sunny.  We had a wander around the stalls earlier but do not actually anything else for the motorhome at this time.

The group tonight is called Twist of Rock and are the only group on tonight so I hope they are good.  This venue is huge with a capacity of probably about a thousand.

They started off badly not sounding very good but soon warmed up.  

Most of their songs were first sung by the best in the business like Tina Turner, Abba, Shania Twain and many others and were done really well.

Bit naughty today as it was gone 10 again before we got up.  The weather is overcast at the moment but still feels quite warm.  So our lunchtime entertainment today is called Keith Slater so we shall pop along later to see what he is like.

We have seen this person before , we think at Newbury the first time we went.  He is a very good entertainer.

So tonight will be our 76th night that we have spent in our Swift Bolero.  This is in 13 months so agood use of it I think.

We have just listened to the Quatro Band who were very good.  Suzi has a very distinctive voice and I believe this girl managed to capture it well.

The next band was a meatloaf tribute with a big task.  I have to say the guy had exactly the right voice and stomach dimensions.  He was brilliant and so far the best of the weekend.

The next group is called Mercury and is of course a Queen tribute band so this person has certainly got his work cut out.  

The guy playing Brian May is a very good likeness so thats a good start and Freddie looks pretty good as well.

In our opinion it was too difficult an inpersonation to achieve.  He sang some of the songs okay but when it came to Bohemian Rhapsody it was a poor rendition.  The music and backing vocals were good but freddy only scored a 6 out of ten for his vocals.  He failed to do the high notes.

So today is Sunday 13th September 2026 and our last day here.  We are booked to stay tonight but have decided to slip away after the entertainment as leigh has a lot to do tomorrow.

So the weather is not great and it is spitting with rain.  We are having a mocha at our favourite venue.

After we left we met a lady greyhound called Dance Narla.  She was irish and weighed in at 38 kilos.  She also came fron Dawg so Leigh messaged Gerry to let her know we had seen her.

Our lunchtime music is presented by Richie Hynes.  He has a good range of songs and he is quite good.

The group for tonight are called Quo-incidence and obviously are a tribute to Status Quo.  Once we have seen them we intend to leave and make our way home.
